As a talented traditional and digital artist, Sara has captivated audiences with her comic "Lylun Eye" on Webtoon, which has garnered over 10 million views. How long have you been creating art? When did you start using art markers?
I've been drawing ever since I was very young—it's something I've always loved and did every day. Over the years, I've experimented with many different mediums, and I started using alcohol markers in 2012.
What does art mean to you personally?
I can't imagine my life without art! It's a part of who I am, and I wouldn't be the same person without this passion. Art is an incredible way for me to express myself and the way I see the world.

What inspires you? Where do you look for inspiration?
Listening to music is a huge source of inspiration for me—I often have it playing while I draw. Admiring other artists' work also fuels my desire to create. One tool I use frequently for finding ideas and inspiration is Pinterest, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Do you have any favorite artists?
Absolutely, I have many! Some of the most influential for my artistic growth include Yoshiyuki Sadamoto , CLAMP, Hayao Miyazaki, Tetsuya Nomura, Shigenori Soejima, and Takeshi Honda

What’s the most important advice you could give to an aspiring artist?
Don't measure your worth by the number of likes you get on social media. Your art always has value, and it's important to remember every day that you create first and foremost for yourself—because you love it, it fulfills you, and it makes you feel good.
How long does one work of art typically take you?
It depends on the complexity of the drawing. When working in my sketchbook, the process is usually faster and more spontaneous. However, when creating a detailed illustration, it's much more thoughtful and meticulous, which can sometimes take hours or, in some cases, days.

What's one work that you're particularly proud of?
My opinion about my work often changes over time. At the moment, one piece I’m particularly satisfied with is "French Girls”.

What is your favorite Ohuhu series?
Each series has its own unique qualities, so I don't think there's one that stands above the rest. However, the one I use most frequently is the Honolulu series.
If you could only keep 5 colors from your Ohuhu collection, which would they be & why?
This is such a tough question! I think I would choose PB10 and Y2, and R1 and G130 because they pair perfectly together. And V160, because it's my favorite color!
What advice would you give newer artists that have just begun using art markers?
Take the time to experiment and understand the potential of the medium. Don’t get discouraged if the results are not perfect at first. Observe and study how other artists use markers, and with practice, you'll see improvement in your work.
